About Depoe Bay Chamber

IMG_4967.JPEG

Hi, thanks for dropping by!

The Depoe Bay Chamber of Commerce was established in 1948 by local business and community leaders. Over the years a very dedicated group of volunteers have helped the Chamber become an important resource.

For more than 60 years, the Chamber has hosted very successful community events such as their annual Crab Feed (typically 3rd weekend in April) and the Native American style Salmon Bake (3rd Saturday in September).

In 2019 through a grant utilizing Lincoln County Transient Room Tax funds the Chamber hired their first paid leadership in over 71 years. These funds are specifically dedicated to help Depoe Bay and surrounding tourist communities become more prominent in the minds of those visiting Oregon. To this end, Discover Depoe Bay was founded in 2019 to support and promote the local tourism economy from Gleneden to Otter Rock.  We also partner with neighboring Chambers of Commerce to best serve all of our members.

Meet your Depoe Bay Chamber Director, Mellissa Sumner.

What you need to know about joining the Chamber

Chamber Membership benefits were upgraded in Fall 2019 based on surveys of current and prospective members.  Along with the Chamber’s expanded tourism-based objectives, member benefits are also more focused on supporting the marketing and advertising needs of Chamber businesses. Recent grant funding from the Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) and Travel Oregon have significantly heightened the Chamber’s ability to reach this goal and better support local organizations via Discover Depoe Bay.
